Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist to join the multispecialty physician practice. You will support clinical and administrative tasks, room patients, take vitals, and document visits in the EMR, while coordinating scheduling and referrals.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. On-site, full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• One to three years as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; Athena a plus.
• Strong customer service and excellent communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with clinical care, including rooming patients and taking vitals.
• Enter patient history, meds, and visit details into EMR.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate testing and referrals.
• Triage calls, verify demographics and insurance, and perform pre-visit planning.
