Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation seeks a senior mechanical engineer to own critical plant systems and lead outages, troubleshooting, and maintenance planning. You will develop lifecycle and capital strategies while coordinating with internal/external stakeholders to ensure asset reliability.

Requirements include an ABET-accredited degree or PE licensure with extensive experience in combined-cycle plants, and familiarity with Maximo, PowerPlan, PI Vision, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Requires ABET-accredited engineering degree or PE licensure with 6+ years of experience.
• Master's degree may substitute for bachelor's degree.
• Experience with mechanical systems in power plants is preferred.
• Familiarity with Maximo, PowerPlan, PI Vision and MS Office is desired.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned mechanical systems and equipment, monitor condition and reliability.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and outage leadership.
• Develop maintenance and lifecycle strategies for assets.
• Manage capital and O&M projects and maintain technical records.
• Coordinate compliance and plant health activities with stakeholders.
