Job summary

The Village of Wellington is seeking an intermediate-level maintenance worker to perform a range of equipment maintenance tasks and basic repairs across Aquatics & Sports Facilities and related areas.

Under general supervision, you will operate vehicles and tools, conduct preventive maintenance, and maintain records. You will also assist with event setups and respond to emergencies as needed while upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with vocational training.
• Two or more years in construction, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical maintenance.
• Valid Florida driver's license and ability to drive Village vehicles.
• CDL preferred if operating heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks and inspections.
• Maintain records such as work orders and timesheets.
• Perform safety and security procedures.
• Assist in event setup and general grounds upkeep.
• Respond to emergency situations as needed.
