Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a Fortune 500 flooring leader, seeks a General Maintenance I to support our manufacturing facilities in Georgia. The role covers electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry tasks, and maintenance of heating, cooling, and process equipment.

You will work with engineers and managers, ensuring safe, efficient operations on a fast-paced production floor. Responsibilities include performing routine and emergency maintenance, assisting with installation of new equipment, and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; technical training is a plus.
Experience with general mechanical and electrical maintenance on industrial equipment.
Ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints and schematics.
Proficient in basic math and record keeping for maintenance logs.
Safety training and adherence to OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

Perform building repairs including electrical, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
Maintain heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems and other equipment.
Install and assemble new equipment and utilities as needed.
Develop and follow maintenance schedules; coordinate with vendors.
Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot equipment; assist with projects.
