Job summary

Mohawk Industries, a global flooring leader, is seeking a General Maintenance III at the Antioch Plant. This role focuses on electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and related tasks to keep manufacturing lines running smoothly.

You will maintain heating and cooling systems, boilers, and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with engineers and vendors. The position requires flexibility for shifts and weather conditions on a production floor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certifications are a plus.
• Experience maintaining mechanical and low voltage electrical equipment.
• General knowledge of buildings, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, boilers, generators, and related systems.
• Must be able to read and understand technical documents and instructions such as blueprints and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform building repairs including electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, and related maintenance tasks.
• Maintain and service heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and other systems; oversee preventative and emergency maintenance.
• Respond to emergencies and work orders; coordinate with vendors/contractors as needed.
• Maintain logs and reports reflecting department activity and maintenance history.
• Possess flexibility to cover day or night shifts and adapt to weather and production needs.
