Job summary

StoryPoint Carlson Parkway is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair duties across multiple areas. This role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends, and weather-dependent outdoor work, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and delivering excellent service.

You will work with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems, perform preventative maintenance, and communicate clearly with supervisors and residents.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or some college credits from a technical school; or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, and appliance repair; drywall repairs and painting essential.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions; write routine reports.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out written or diagrammatic instructions; handle multiple variables in standard situations.
• You enjoy helping others and contributing to a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with team members.
• Identifies and reports broken equipment or uncertain conditions to the supervisor.
• Keeps the work area and equipment clean and safe per regulations.
• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery and building/grounds.
• Maintains a positive customer service attitude in interactions with staff and residents.
