Job summary

StoryPoint Carrollton is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to perform general maintenance and repairs across our communities. The role requires working shifts including weekends and outdoors in varying weather, while collaborating with staff from multiple departments to deliver reliable service.

The ideal candidate will have a HS diploma or equivalent, and experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other facility tasks, with strong safety and reporting abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or some college credits; or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in apartment maintenance (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, repairs).
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals; write routine reports.
• Able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain positive relationships with staff and residents.
• Identify and report broken equipment to supervisor.
• Keep work area clean and safe per regulations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and facilities.
• Provide excellent customer service in interactions with residents.
