Qualifications

• Minimum five years of full-time experience in general maintenance, construction or related area.
• Ability to interpret electrical prints, diagrams and schematics.
• Strong communication and ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Physical and mental stamina to work extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Survey jobs to ensure materials and tools are on hand.
• Direct and assist detainee maintenance staff and inspect work.
• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance.
• Operate equipment and machinery within the assigned area.
• Carry out carpentry, plumbing, heating, and electrical tasks as needed.
• Maintain records of repairs and activities.
• May oversee duties of a Corrections Officer when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
