Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance work with moderate latitude for applying knowledge and technical skills under general supervision.

You will handle plumbing, electrical, carpentry, landscaping and related tasks, maintain tools and safety records, and respond promptly to maintenance requests to keep the facility safe. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of maintenance experience, the ability to communicate

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years general maintenance experience.
• Ability to perform plumbing, carpentry, mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Effective communication with residents and staff.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Perform facility maintenance including plumbing, electrical and carpentry as directed.
• Maintain safety by controlling tools and following safety procedures.
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly to keep the facility safe.
• Maintain maintenance logs, inventories and MSDS records.
• Communicate resident needs to supervisors to support safety and security.
• Participate in staff meetings to share observations and improve operations.
