Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician for a pork processing facility in Iowa. The role focuses on troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing equipment across departments, including conveyors, trolley systems, rendering machinery, and hydraulic systems.

The position requires 1 year of on-the-job training and experience in at least two maintenance areas, with the ability to work third shift, weekends, and overtime. Safety and compliance with Tyson policies are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 1 year on-the-job training.
• 1 year experience in at least two general maintenance areas (mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, PLC, welding, etc.).
• Able to lift up to 60+ pounds and work in confined spaces.
• Able to work 3rd shift and overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must communicate well with all levels and read/understand manuals.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment across the facility.
• Perform preventative maintenance on production lines, conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.
• Read manuals, document work on scheduling sheets, and complete computer-based training modules.
• Work in a cold, damp, or hot environment and adhere to Tyson policies and safety procedures.
