Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair a variety of electromechanical equipment in a food processing environment. The role emphasizes safety, adherence to Tyson policies, and efficient equipment reliability.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of maintenance experience or a diploma from an industrial maintenance program, and must be capable of physical work and standing for long periods on a 3rd shift.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance work experience documented in the application history or graduate of an industrial maintenance training program.
• Willing to work 3rd shift and comply with safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
• Must be able to perform physical tasks and handle cleaning chemicals when required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment across the operation.
• Provide technical support for all phases of the operation.
• Understand technical and training manuals.
• Handle and record data for cleaning chemicals.
• Maintain safety, food safety, GMP and SQF compliance.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department.
• Rotate through positions as assigned.
