Job summary

Tyson Foods is seeking a Maintenance Generalist for the 3rd shift in the United States. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment in line with Tyson policies.

The successful candidate will perform preventive maintenance, document actions, handle breakdowns, and comply with safety programs, PPE requirements, and training as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or graduate of Industrial Maintenance Training program
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are critical
• Ability to understand technical mechanical concepts
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets following Tyson policies and procedures
• Provide troubleshooting and repair of mechanical malfunctions
• Lubricate equipment with grease and oils
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Complete required paperwork and reports
• Respond to mechanical or electrical breakdowns and handle emergencies
• Follow lockout/tagout and all safety programs
• Work with other mechanics as needed
• Perform janitorial tasks if needed
• Work in varying temperatures and environments
