Job summary

College of Eastern Idaho is seeking a semi-skilled maintenance technician to operate, maintain, and repair facilities and systems on campus. The role covers electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC tasks, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to emergencies, and assist other staff in general building upkeep at CEI facilities in Idaho Falls. Residency in Idaho is required; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Qualifications

• Experience performing semi-skilled maintenance and repair across carpentry, plumbing, electrical and general building trades.
• Ability to read basic schematics and follow safety protocols.
• Must reside in Idaho; CEI does not sponsor visas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair building electrical systems and components.
• Inspect and service plumbing, water heaters and drainage lines.
• Perform carpentry tasks: partitions, doors, frames, floors.
• Maintain HVAC systems and monitor boiler room operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on building devices and tools.
