Job summary

Simmons Prepared Foods Inc is hiring for a full-time position on the production line. The role involves moving and packing product on a conveyor, inspecting and grading for quality, and supporting team-based operations to maintain line speeds.

Depending on shift, responsibilities include variety of packing tasks, weighing, bone removal, and adherence to Simmons’ operating systems, quality, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in poultry or food processing preferred
• Able to stand for long periods during shift
• Able to lift up to 55 pounds and move product on a conveyor

Responsibilities

• Works on a moving conveyor belt using both hands. Spreads or styles product by hand on the belt
• Performs multiple types of packing and weighing
• Pulls bones from product; inspects, grades and removes product that does not meet standards
• Participates as a member of the team and supports continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives
• Familiar with Simmons operating systems and policies; adheres to quality and safety standards
• Performs other duties to support business objectives
• Maintains awareness of cold, wet, noisy, dusty work environment and uses PPE as required
