Job summary

Whataburger is hiring a Restaurant Maintenance Technician to support multiple San Antonio-area restaurants. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen systems to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable operation.

Responsibilities include responding to service calls, documenting repairs, coordinating with leadership and vendors, and traveling to assigned sites as needed. The role requires on‑call availability and strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• HVAC and refrigeration experience required.
• Experience repairing commercial kitchen equipment or related technical education.
• EPA or CFC certification required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, refrigeration, and beverage systems.
• Respond to service calls and emergencies to restore functionality.
• Complete and document repairs per work orders and SLAs.
• Maintain inventory and organize tools and workspace.
• Communicate with restaurant leadership, maintenance team, and vendors.
