Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Restaurant Maintenance Technician to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and restore equipment across HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen systems. This field-based role requires traveling within a regional market and responding to after-hours needs as needed.

You will manage work orders, maintain documentation, and coordinate with restaurant leadership, maintenance teams, and third-party vendors. A strong focus on safety and SLA adherence is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year HVAC and commercial refrigeration field experience.
• 1+ year repair of commercial kitchen equipment.
• EPA or CFC Certification.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regionally.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, refrigeration, kitchen equipment across multiple restaurants.
• Respond to service calls and emergency maintenance to restore operations.
• Complete repairs and document work orders per SLAs and priorities.
• Coordinate with restaurant leadership, maintenance team, and vendors.
