Job summary

Hines is seeking a Service Technician to oversee mechanical work and maintenance for a living community. You will handle work orders, perform preventive tasks, and supervise vendor coordination to ensure high standards of safety and efficiency.

The role requires hands-on maintenance across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliances, with a focus on safety and customer service. Expect shifts typical for property operations, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Two or more years of property maintenance or related experience.
• EPA Type I & II or Universal certification strongly preferred for refrigerant recycling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee technical and mechanical work of the Community to meet Hines standards.
• Complete assigned work orders generated from requests in a timely manner.
• Inspect and prepare vacant apartments for leasing and coordinate with contractors as needed.
• Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliances safely and efficiently.
• Follow safety procedures and report injuries or safety issues.
