Job summary

Southern New Hampshire Health is seeking a Patient Service Representative (PSR) Float to cover front desk operations across multiple practice locations. The role requires travel between sites and delivering consistent, compassionate service to patients and families.

You will greet patients, check in/out, schedule appointments, process co-pays, verify information, and support HIPAA compliance while maintaining accurate records in the EMR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Windows-based office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to travel to and work from multiple practice locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients, visitors, and customers in a professional and compassionate manner.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and provide general information.
• Perform patient check-in and check-out functions.
• Schedule appointments and requested testing.
• Enter and track referrals.
• Verify and update patient demographic and registration information.
• Collect and process co-pays and daily payment batches accurately.
• Scan and index documentation into the electronic medical record.
• Provide coverage for multiple practice locations, including weekend and holiday rotations.
• Support Patient Centered Medical Home initiatives and other special projects.
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies and procedures.
