Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• BLS required.
• Valid Driver’s License for travel to other clinic locations as needed.
• One-year experience as a medical assistant in clinic or physician’s office with venipuncture.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with medical procedures including bone marrow aspirations, fine-needle aspirations, paracentesis, and pelvic exams.
• Perform phlebotomy and laboratory blood work.
• Obtain vital signs: height, weight, pain level, and PHQ9 as requested and document in EMR.
• Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians in a timely manner.
• Schedule outside testing and referrals and document in EMR.
• Maintain QA/QC records, equipment logs, and supply inventories.
