MedStar Health in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting. Under supervision, you will assist with patient exams, venipuncture, vaccines, vital signs and EMR documentation.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, completion of an accredited MA program, and CPR. Clinic may float to other sites within the system, with a Monday–Friday schedule and 8am–4:30pm hours.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Experience in an ambulatory care setting and medical office support preferred.
• Certification in CMA or RMA and CPR/AHA or Red Cross within specified timelines are required.

Responsabilidades

• Assist providers with patient preparation for examinations and with procedures.
• Perform venipuncture, vaccine administration, vital signs, and chart documentation.
• Provide clerical support and back-up for administrative staff as needed.
• Conduct phone screening and triage according to protocols and policy.
• Document activities in the EMR and participate in team huddles and safety rounds.
