Job summary

Hubbell Realty Company in the Des Moines metro area is seeking a Floating Maintenance Service Technician to support multiple apartment communities. The role performs unit make-readies, repairs, preventive maintenance, and completes work orders with a focus on quality, safety, and resident satisfaction.

This position participates in an on-call rotation for 24-hour emergency response, with regular hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• This role requires knowledge of residential building systems and routine maintenance tasks.
• Experience following safety procedures and OSHA requirements is preferred.
• Must be able to travel within the Des Moines Metro for coverage.

Responsibilities

• Perform unit make-readies, apartment repairs, preventive maintenance, and complete work orders.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as part of an on-call rotation.
• Coordinate with Residential Property Manager and other teams to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Document work performed and materials used for each service request.
• Inspect vacated units and conduct make-ready work to return units to move-in condition.
