Job summary

The Pembroke in Downtown Columbus is seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician to perform make-ready repairs on vacant units and support the Service Manager with maintenance tasks. HVAC certified candidates are preferred, and the role includes 24-hour on-call duties on a rotating basis.

Responsibilities include timely repairs, inventory control, and coordinating with grounds and housekeeping staff. A valid driver’s license and basic HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent education.
• Current driver’s license; CFC Certificate (Where needed).
• HVAC, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electrical skills; Pool certification if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs to make-ready units in a timely manner.
• Be on-call 24 hours as scheduled by the Service Manager.
• Assist the Service Manager with inventory control and maintenance material usage.
• Inspect property for improvements and repairs and review with the Service Manager.
• Maintain a clean and orderly maintenance shop.
• Follow Maintenance General Operating Policies and ensure safety and professionalism.
