Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a multi-site role primarily based at the Sedgefield office in Charlotte, NC, with coverage at adjacent properties. The position requires reliable transportation for travel between locations and a schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

The role handles work orders, move-in readiness, inventory management, and property upkeep across multiple garden-style communities.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant certifications required.
• State and local certifications required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventive maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections and punch lists.
• Follows procedures to access materials, track inventory, and notify supervisors when re-ordering is needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork so service requests are tracked.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs and signage, and trash pickup.
• Supports cost-control by repairing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
