Job summary

Equity Residential is seeking a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across two or more apartment communities in the Los Angeles area. You will perform make-ready work, respond to resident service requests, and maintain common areas while delivering professional, friendly service.

You’ll troubleshoot plumbing/electrical/appliances and perform interior repairs, with on-call responsibilities and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
• Must be able to troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, appliances and HVAC, and perform interior repairs.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle.
• Computer literacy and ability to communicate in English (oral and written).
• Must be able to work weekends and respond to emergencies after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares market-ready apartments.
• Responds to resident service requests and concerns promptly.
• Performs various maintenance functions.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, keeping them clean.
• On-call emergency service as required.
• Performs special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Reports maintenance concerns to the Service Manager.
• Participates in scheduled maintenance program.
• Familiar with applicable housing laws and internal policies.
• Attends training programs as required.
• Represents the Company professionally at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
