Job summary

Equity Residential is hiring a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support two or more apartment communities. You will respond to resident requests, perform make-ready work, and maintain common areas while upholding our service standards.

The role requires hands-on maintenance experience, the ability to troubleshoot plumbing/electrical systems, and a high school diploma. A valid driver’s license and weekend availability are required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC (if applicable) and interior repairs.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift, including weekends; on-call responsibilities may apply.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Excellent communication in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all market-ready apartments.
• Respond to resident service requests promptly.
• Perform maintenance functions and common area upkeep.
• Maintain grounds and report issues to Service Manager.
• Participate in scheduled maintenance programs and trainings.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.
