Job summary

Equity Residential seeks a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support two or more communities, handling make-ready, on-call duties, and responsive service to residents while upholding brand standards.

You will perform planned maintenance, respond to requests, and ensure common areas are clean and safe; knowledge of state and federal housing laws and internal policies is a plus; training and professional representation are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and interior repairs and painting.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is required if operating a motorized vehicle.
• English communication skills for work.
• Must be able to work any assigned shift, including weekends.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies after hours and weekends when on-call.
• Smartphone required with updated software and security compliance.
• Physical ability to perform tasks requiring lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all market-ready apartments.
• Respond to resident service requests and concerns promptly.
• Perform various maintenance functions.
• Maintain grounds and common areas and keep them free of trash and debris.
• On-call emergency service as required.
• Perform special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Report maintenance concerns to the Service Manager.
• Attend training programs as required.
• Represent the Company professionally at all times.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
