Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Nashville, TN, is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our centers safe, functional, and inviting for families and children. You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs.

You will work with center staff to promote best practices in facility maintenance, manage work orders in CMMS, and help plan renovations or capital projects as needed across our 2,000+ sites

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing in a multi-unit setting.
• Diagnose and repair basic mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance.
• Eligible to operate a company vehicle per policy.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to read and apply facility manuals and drawings.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or with a team; proficient with work devices.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
• Conduct safety inspections of playgrounds and property.
• Assist renovations and new construction inspections; identify capital replacements.
• Work with center staff to promote best maintenance practices.
• Engage with vendors for complex repairs and monitor performance.
• Create and update work orders and track status in CMMS.
