Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to help keep our centers safe, functional, and inviting for families and children.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and carpentry systems, conduct safety inspections, coordinate with vendors, update work orders in CMMS, and support renovations and new construction projects while collaborating with center staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds and roofing in a multi-unit environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment and understand preventive maintenance.
• Operate a company vehicle per policy.
• Strong time management, communication, and organization.
• Read and apply maintenance manuals, drawings and specs.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and with others.
• Proficiency with electronic devices and basic IT tools.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct preventive maintenance at assigned centers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, carpentry).
• Conduct safety inspections of playgrounds and property.
• Assist with renovations and new construction inspections and identify capital replacement needs.
• Engage with center staff to promote best practices in facility maintenance.
• Work with local vendors for complex repairs and monitor performance.
• Update work orders and provide status updates using CMMS.
