Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to ensure the safety, functionality, and welcoming environments of its child care centers. The role supports centers across our nationwide sites, collaborating with staff to uphold high maintenance standards.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance, conduct safety inspections, and coordinate with vendors for complex repairs, contributing to a reliable, inviting space for families and children.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, playgrounds, roofing, etc. in a multi-unit environment.
• Ability to diagnose and repair equipment; understand preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and conduct regular preventive maintenance at centers (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, lighting, carpentry).
• Conduct safety and security inspections of playgrounds and property.
• Assist with renovations inspections and identify capital replacement needs.
• Engage with center staff to promote maintenance best practices.
• Coordinate with local vendors for complex repairs and monitor performance.
• Order materials, update work orders, and provide CMMS status updates.
