Job summary

ReWA is seeking five Full-Time Early Childhood Education Substitute Teachers to cover classrooms across all five Seattle-area learning centers. Each substitute will have a designated home site but may work at other centers as needed, ensuring continuity of care and education.

Roles include supporting developmentally appropriate activities, assisting with lesson planning and family communications, and maintaining safety and program standards across locations.

Qualifications

• Must have childcare experience and ability to work as part of a classroom team.
• Ability to support diverse, multilingual children and cultures.
• Willingness to work at all five ReWA centers as needed.
• CPR/First Aid, CPS training, TB test clearance, and Food Worker Card are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for children.
• Support literacy, numeracy, science, creativity, and social-emotional development.
• Use inclusive communication reflecting children's diverse backgrounds.
• Support home languages and cultural identities in the classroom.
• Assist with daily routines, meals, transitions, and setup.
