Job summary

YMCA of Greater Seattle is seeking a dedicated Early Education Teacher for our ECEAP classroom in Redmond. You will work with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging activities and supervise children while adhering to program/state requirements.

The role is full-time with shifts Monday–Friday, hours between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Join a supportive team with strong leadership and ample resources to nurture young learners and families.

Qualifications

• CDA (Child Development Associate) required.
• Experience working with children in the same age group as those supervised.
• Completion of minimum STARS-required training.
• Cleared Portable Background Check in the MERIT system.
• Knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Pre-employment TB tests and MMR vaccination required; Concentra options provided.
• Training to be completed at hire or within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Implement culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA Youth Development goals.
• Coordinate activities to support each child’s social, intellectual, and physical growth.
• Supervise groups of children to ensure safety and positive experiences.
• Complete individual child observations with the Lead Teacher for assessments.
• Communicate professionally with families and participate in conferences when needed.
• Maintain daily family communication sheets and activity records.
