Job summary

KCRA 3, the Hearst Television NBC-affiliate in Sacramento, CA, is seeking an Account Executive responsible for selling multiplatform advertising solutions with emphasis on New Business Development to local businesses and agencies. In-person attendance is required; reports to Local Sales Manager.

The role requires goal-oriented individuals with strong interpersonal and presentation skills and a team-oriented mindset. Platforms include television and digital solutions across multiple channels.

Qualifications

• Sales/marketing experience in media is preferred.
• Proven track record with new business development.
• Accountability within a goal-structured organization.
• Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Wide Orbit, Kantar and One Domain/WO Media Office is a plus.
• Military training and experience will be considered in lieu of media sales experience.
• College degree in marketing, business or broadcast-related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Achieve revenue goals across multiple platforms.
• Proactively drive new business by prospecting and researching new accounts.
• Identify and cultivate local relationships to influence advertising decisions.
• Develop sales presentations for new and existing clients using TV and digital platforms.
• Prepare and implement account strategies to grow revenue from existing clients.
• Use research to support marketing solutions and client goals.
• Stay updated on industry trends and client news.
• Keep sales management informed of progress toward revenue goals.
