Job summary

Ascension Health in Nashville, TN seeks a Radiologic Technologist to produce high-fidelity diagnostic images and support physicians with accurate, timely results.

You will enforce radiation safety, optimize image quality, and operate PACS while collaborating during advanced procedures to ensure a seamless procedural environment for every patient.

Qualifications

• ARRT radiography credential required before hire.
• BLS certification within 1 month of hire date.
• CT and/or Mammography ARRT credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images to support timely medical decisions.
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection with high image quality.
• Operate imaging technology and PACS; deliver accurate patient records.
• Collaborate with physicians during advanced procedures with precision.

• Department: Multimodality Float Pool




• Schedule: Day Shift | PRN

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images that empower physicians to make accurate and timely medical decisions for every patient.




• Champion patient safety by strictly enforcing radiation protection standards and ensuring minimal exposure while maintaining superior image quality.




• Navigate advanced imaging technology and digital workflows (PACS) to ensure that every patient record is accurate, complete, and delivered promptly to the care team.




• Partner with physicians during complex and advanced procedures, providing the technical expertise and high-precision positioning required for successful outcomes.




• Manage the end-to‑end procedural environmentâfrom safe contrast administration to maintaining a high‑standard clinical spaceâto ensure a seamless experience for those in our care.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.




• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.




• One or more of the following required:




• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.




• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.




• Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.




• Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's

degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
