Job summary

Ascension Health in Nashville, TN seeks a CT Technologist for night shift/PRN assignments at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown and related facilities. You will perform high-precision CT scans, position patients, and manage contrast administration to support radiologists in accurate diagnoses.

Candidate must have CT credentials/certifications and a strong focus on radiation safety and patient comfort. This role offers PRN opportunities with night shifts in a leading nonprofit health system.

Qualifications

• BLS required within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• Pass NMTCB CT, ARRT CT, or ARRT Radiologic Technologist CT specialty.
• CNMT or ARRT Radiography credentials accepted as alternative.
• Radiologic technologist CT credentialing before hire date.

How you'll make an impact in this role

• Execute high-precision CT scans to provide radiologists with the critical images needed for accurate disease and injury diagnosis.
• Navigate advanced imaging technology and patient positioning to ensure both clinical accuracy and a comfortable patient experience.
• Manage the safe administration of contrast and medications, prioritizing patient well-being and strict adherence to safety protocols.
• Advocate for patient safety by monitoring clinical status in real-time and maintaining rigorous radiation protection standards.
• Refine departmental excellence by evaluating imaging protocols and recommending updates to ensure the highest diagnostic quality.

What minimum requirements you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
• Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. NMTCB(CT) Computed Tomography Specialty
• Certification or ARRT(CT) Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography required in addition to CNMT Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Nuclear Medicine or Radiation Therapy specialty also accepted.

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
