Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for the General Radiology department in Winchester, IN. This PRN/Rotating role requires accurate patient positioning, safe radiation practices, and collaboration with physicians on procedures.

The ideal candidate will hold BLS, be credentialed in radiologic technology by Indiana's program, and meet multiple credential requirements within 6 months of hire. Join a mission-driven health system focused on care and service.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date (or transfer date).
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed through Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program within 6 months of hire date.
• One of: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI within 6 months; ARRT Radiography credential within 6 months; ARDMS Sonography credential within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Accurately position patients, select parameters, and implement radiation safety.
• Prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with special procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliant with regulatory standards; submit high quality images to PACS with correct markers and patient data.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department environment.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Accurately position patients, select parameters, and implement radiation safety.
• Prepare for, perform, and assist physicians with special procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (with correct markers and patient data).
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department environment.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Indiana Medical Radiology Services Program obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
• One or more of the following required:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
