Job summary

Ascension Health in Milwaukee, WI, invites a Radiologic Technologist to join the Imaging Department at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee. This night shift role supports diagnostic exams, patient positioning and coordination with physicians.

You’ll work on a 7/7 schedule with 8:30pm-7:00am, ensuring safety, data accuracy in PACS, and high-quality imaging. Licensure in Radiography required; ARRT and Wisconsin state licensure preferred.

Qualifications

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) prior to hire date.
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from CCI prior to hire date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from ARRT prior to hire date; General Radiography required; Wisconsin state licensure.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from ARDMS prior to hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Position patients and set technical parameters for diagnostic exams, assisting physicians.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and medications as required.
  • Uphold radiation safety standards and regulatory compliance across the department.
  • Submit high-quality images to PACS and verify patient data and cleanliness.

How you’ll make an impact in this role
  • Clinical Imaging & Procedures: Accurately position patients and select technical parameters to perform diagnostic exams, assisting physicians with advanced clinical procedures.

  • Medication & Contrast Administration: Prepare and administer contrast media and medications in strict accordance with professional scope of practice and federal regulations.

  • Safety & Regulatory Compliance: Implement radiation protection and safety standards to ensure all department activities comply with regulatory agency requirements.

  • Quality Control & Data Management: Ensure the prompt submission of high-quality images to PACS, verifying patient data, lead markers, and departmental cleanliness.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

  • One or more of the following required:

  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to any specialty. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required.

  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
What additional preferences we’re seeking

Schedule: 7/70 role; 7 days on and 7 days off;

8:30pm-7:00am

(Will consider 3 days of 12 hour shifts as well to help fulfill work-life balance)
