Job summary

Tampa General Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Diagnostic Ultrasound Technologist to perform general, vascular, Doppler, and OB/GYN sonography across age groups.

The role supports Radiologists with high-quality images and patient-specific care in a fast-paced setting. Under supervision of the Radiology Section Manager, you will ensure image quality, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety protocols while participating in on-call coverage as required.

Qualifications

• Advanced ultrasound knowledge across abdominal, vascular, obstetric and gynecologic imaging.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathologies relevant to ultrasound.
• Experience following infection control, safety, and privacy standards (HIPAA).
• Ability to obtain high-quality diagnostic images and document findings accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations and acquires high-quality images for interpretation.
• Operates and maintains ultrasound equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensures procedures follow established protocols and maintains patient safety and comfort.
• Prepares rooms and supplies, verifies patient identity, and documents details per policy.
• Communicates patient condition and needs to the healthcare team clearly.
• Supports workflow coordination and prioritizes exams as needed.
