Qualifications

• Completion of a technical ultrasound program (Educational requirement).
• 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience or equivalent preferred.
• BLS certification and ARRT Sonography Registry required or active.

Responsibilities

• Performs a full range of ultrasound examinations independently.
• Ensures patient safety, comfort, and appropriate patient identification.
• Operates imaging equipment and processes optimal images for interpretation.
• Prepares exam rooms and supplies, maintains documentation per protocol.
• Serves as a resource for students and junior staff as needed.
• Communicates patient needs in written and verbal form.
• Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxiety.
