Job summary

Otak is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer/Project Manager to shape multimodal transportation in Colorado. You will lead design for municipal roadways, trails, underpasses and bridges, coordinating with teams to deliver projects on schedule and budget.

The role requires a BSCE, 5–8 years of transportation experience, and a PE license or imminent eligibility. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation OpenRoads is essential, with strong regulatory knowledge and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (BSCE) from an accredited program is required.
• 5–8 years of civil engineering experience focused on transportation, public infrastructure and multimodal design.
• Some project management experience or ability to manage budgets, schedules and tasks.
• Experience with technical writing and report reviews.
• Colorado Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within six months.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks and teams on transportation projects across municipal roadways, trails, bridges and utilities.
• Perform design services for grading, drainage, utilities and erosion control per regulations.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads.
• Prepare specifications and cost estimates for projects.
• Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision and assign duties.
• Assist in proposals, scope, schedule and budget; support client relationships.
• Provide construction support services and participate in BD activities.
• Collaborate with a creative professional team in a hybrid environment.
