Job summary

Otak is seeking a Transportation Project Engineer / Project Manager to lead multimodal design on municipal roadways, trails and bridges in Colorado. The role emphasizes active transportation and collaboration across Front Range to Mountain West projects.

Based in Louisville or Denver, you’ll manage tasking, perform Civil 3D/MicroStation design, develop specs and cost estimates, and help shape proposals and client relationships. A PE in CO or near-term licensure is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an accredited college/university or equivalent education is required.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in transportation/public infrastructure multimodal design and related civics work.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Colorado or ability to obtain within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks and teams on transportation projects.
• Perform design services for roadway and site layout, grading, drainage, utilities and erosion control per regulations.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation/OpenRoads.
• Prepare specifications and cost estimates.
• Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision.
• Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team members.
• Support proposals and project scope, schedule and budget.
• Assist in business development through client relationships.
• Provide construction support services.
