Job summary

Otak, Inc. in the United States is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to contribute to transportation projects in Louisville or Denver. You will lead design efforts and coordinate across teams to deliver municipal and private sector projects.

The role requires a BSCE, 5–8 years of relevant experience, and a PE license or ability to obtain within six months. Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation OpenRoads is essential, with strong communication and project-management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• 5–8 years of Civil Engineer experience focusing on transportation.
• PE license in the State of Colorado, or the ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenRoads.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations and codes, including AASHTO, CDOT, NACTO, and MUTCD design guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage tasks and teams associated with transportation projects.
• Perform design services related to roadway and site layout, grading, drainage, utilities, and erosion control in conformance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Prepare construction plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Microstation OpenRoads.
• Prepare specifications and cost estimates.
• Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision.
• Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team members.
• Participate in preparing proposals and project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Participate in Business Development based on strong client relationships.
• Provide construction support services.
