What you’ll do

This is an active business-development role. You’ll spend a substantial part of your week connecting with businesses throughout the Willamette Valley—finding opportunities, learning what owners need, and recommending marketing solutions that fit their goals and budgets.

You will:

• Find and connect with promising businesses through calls, emails, visits, referrals, and networking.
• Lead client needs assessments to understand each business before recommending a campaign.
• Build and present proposals using Hope 107.9, KWIL AM 790, and our digital and promotional offerings.
• Ask for the business, follow through on commitments, and help clients plan their next steps.
• Keep accurate records of your activity and opportunities in our CRM.
• Work closely with our programming, traffic, and digital teams to deliver what we promise.

The early months will focus heavily on training and developing new business. As you demonstrate readiness, you’ll begin managing selected existing accounts while continuing to build your own client relationships.

What you bring

You’re self-motivated, organized, and diligent. You can handle a “no,” learn from feedback, and keep going. You listen carefully, communicate clearly, and care about doing what is right for the client.

We’re especially interested in candidates who bring:

• Sales, customer service, or other client-facing experience that demonstrates relationship building and follow-through.
• A willingness to prospect consistently and ask for the sale.
• Curiosity about businesses, marketing, and what helps people make buying decisions.
• Confidence discussing goals, budgets, and money with business owners.
• Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn new tools.
• Honesty, dependable effort, and a cooperative approach to working with others.
• A valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a High School Diploma (College Degree preferred) are required.

B2B sales experience is preferred. Media or digital advertising experience is not required. We’re willing to teach the products and processes to someone with strong potential and a commitment to learning.

Training, compensation, and work arrangement

You’ll receive direct coaching from our General Manager, structured sales training, and support as you learn our stations, audiences, products, and sales process.

Our proposed compensation includes:

• Competitive salary during the first six months of training and ramp-up, based on experience.
• Base + Commission thereafter with anticipated first-year earnings of $70,000–$90,000, depending on performance.

The position is based in Albany, Oregon, with a hybrid work arrangement and regular travel throughout the Willamette Valley. A flexible schedule that includes weekdays, with occasional early morning, evening, or weekend commitments.
