Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking a skilled technical communications professional to lead the packaging of technical content for drivers and service technicians. You will structure manuals, verify data with engineers, and publish in HTML and print formats for internal and external audiences.

The role is based in Portland, OR, with a Hybrid schedule (4 days in-office / 1 day remote). The starting salary ranges from $65,000 to $83,000 USD, with benefits and a 401(k) matching plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, Journalism or related field (or BS in Mechanical Engineering).
• 2+ years of experience with technical content development or technical writing.
• Experience developing and formatting technical manuals and service bulletins for readability.

Responsibilities

• Writes documentation for technical products and maintenance procedures for internal or external audiences.
• Determines structure and layout for complex manuals and docs.
• Coordinates with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of data and specs.
