Qualifications

• BS/BA in English, Writing, Technical Writing, or Journalism or related degree
• 2 years of experience in Technical Writing or 4 years of experience in Technical Writing in lieu of degree
• Demonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking
• Demonstrated ability to develop and format technical manuals and bulletins with readability
• Strong command of English grammar and vocabulary
• Ability to handle multiple, short-turn, critical projects

• Experience developing content using XML (DITA/SGML/HTML) and knowledge of automotive/truck systems or working with engineers

Responsibilities

• Write documentation about technical products, systems, processes, and research findings for internal and external audiences.
• Determine effective structure and layout for complex manuals and other technical documents.
• Conduct research and liaise with technical staff to ensure accurate interpretation of complex content.
• Ensure content and terminology reviews for all updates and new publications.
• Edit content to improve clarity, impact, flow, meaning, and readability
