Job summary

Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) invites applications for a role in the Aftermarket Technical Communications team. The focus is packaging content from subject matter experts into accessible manuals and publications for drivers and technicians.

You will craft structures for manuals, coordinate with engineering sources, and ensure accuracy across XML/HTML formats while supporting future digital tooling initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in English, Writing, Technical Writing, or Journalism or related degree.
• 2 years of experience in Technical Writing or 4 years of experience in Technical Writing in lieu of degree.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and critical thinking.
• Demonstrated skill to develop and format technical manuals with readability.
• In-depth knowledge of English grammar and vocabulary.
• Ability to handle multiple, short-turnaround, critical projects.
• An attached resume is required; XML/DITA/HTML knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Write documentation for technical products, systems, and processes for internal and external audiences.
• Determine structure and layout for complex manuals and publications.
• Conduct research and liaise with technical staff to ensure accurate content interpretation.
• Ensure technical content reviews for updates and new publications; edit for clarity and readability.
• Collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to deliver accurate materials.
