Job summary

AGM Management LLC in Troy, MI is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to own renovation and capital improvement projects across our multifamily portfolio. This in-person role is based in Troy with periodic travel to project sites across multiple states.

You will guide projects from RFP through final completion—keeping work on schedule and within budget while upholding our properties and residents' standards. A valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Three to seven years of experience in construction project management.
• Experience delivering renovation or capital improvement projects in multifamily or residential settings.
• Ability to read scopes of work, construction documents, and contractor bids; proficient with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple renovation and capital improvement projects from scope development through completion, ensuring on-time delivery and budget compliance.
• Solicit and evaluate bids from contractors and vendors, grounding decisions in cost, quality, and scope.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, vendors, on-site property management, and ownership throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site visits to verify progress, quality, and contract compliance; review pay applications, change orders, and invoices.
• Identify and resolve project issues, escalating to ownership with clear recommendations when needed.
• Maintain thorough project documentation and provide regular status updates, budget summaries, and close-out records.
