Job summary

Legend Management Group is seeking a Service Manager to oversee maintenance, curb appeal, and the on-site service team for its apartment communities. You will coordinate make-readies, move-ins/outs, and preventative maintenance while reporting to the Property Manager.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in multi-family maintenance, 1+ year in a Service Manager role, HVAC/EPA certification, and a proven ability to lead, train, and manage budgets, vendors, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of facilities, residential, or multi-family maintenance experience.
• 1+ years in an Assistant Service Manager or Service Manager position in multi-family.
• HVAC, EPA certification (CFC Universal).
• Reliable transportation and a valid Driver’s License.
• High level of skill in all areas of apartment maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, use ladders and work in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example and be a role model for our core values.
• Oversee maintenance, curb appeal, and on-site service team.
• Coordinate make-readies, move-ins/move-outs schedules.
• Perform general maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Oversee construction/rehabilitation needs of the community.
• Report to the Property Manager and manage budgets.
• Develop scopes of work and bid with contractors.
• Manage vendor relationships and inventory within budget.
• Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Be on-call for after-hours emergencies and weekends when needed.
