Job summary

Indus Management Group in Houston seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Property Manager in day-to-day operations. You will oversee property finance, ensure delinquency collection, and drive maintenance through efficient work orders and make-readies.

The role requires at least two years in multifamily property management, High School or GED, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Entrata is preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Two years of related property management experience with multifamily.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing, health and safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Second-in-Command for property in the absence of the Property Manager.
• Assists with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of onsite employees.
• Oversees administration of accounting functions for the property including maintenance of financial records and resident ledgers.
• Communicates with residents and ensures delinquency is collected through notices, lockouts, and evictions as required.
• Conducts financial-move-outs by walking apartments and processing deposits.
• Processes all deposit and refund requests in collaboration with the corporate office.
• Responds to inquiries from prospects and current residents regarding property services and accounts.
• Leads make-readies process and walks units to ensure timely turnover.
• Manages maintenance department and coordinates work orders with staff or vendors.
• Monitors rehab projects on property and ensures timely execution.
