Job summary

Indus Management Group in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Property Manager with day-to-day operations and financial oversight. You will ensure timely delinquency collection, maintain records, and lead on-site maintenance and make-readies to keep properties in top condition.

The role requires at least two years of multifamily property management experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid Texas driver’s license. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required.
• Minimum two years of multi-family property management experience.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Second-in-Command for property when the Property Manager is absent
• Assists with recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of onsite staff
• Oversees accounting functions and resident ledgers
• Communicates with residents; ensures delinquency is collected timely
• Conducts financial move-outs and processes deposits/refunds
• Responds to inquiries from prospects and residents
• Leads make-readies and unit turnovers
• Manages maintenance and coordinates work orders with staff or vendors
• Monitors rehab projects and ensures timely execution
• Other duties as assigned
