Compensation: $115k-$125k

About the Opportunity

Location: Charlotte Metropolitan Area

Company: Rapidly Expanding General Contractor

Compensation: $115k-$125k

About the Opportunity

An established and aggressively growing general contractor is seeking an experienced Multifamily Project Manager to join the Charlotte-area operations. Backed by a substantial, multi-year pipeline of high-profile, ground-up and mid-rise multifamily projects across the Carolinas, this organization offers a refreshing break from corporate bureaucracy.

This is an environment tailored for a self-starter who wants total operational ownership. Leadership believes in empowering project managers to run their jobsites like business owners, providing the resources and high-level backing necessary to succeed without micro-management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full Lifecycle Ownership: Direct all phases of multifamily construction from pre-construction, budgeting, and subcontractor buyout through execution and closeout.
  • Financial & Schedule Control: Manage project financials, forecasting, owner billings, change orders, and master schedules to ensure target milestones and profit margins are met.
  • Stakeholder Leadership: Serve as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, owners, and municipal officials while fostering strong working relationships.
  • Field Coordination: Collaborate closely with project Superintendents to maintain rigorous standards for jobsite safety, quality control, and schedule adherence.
  • Team Development: Mentor and support assistant project managers and project engineers to build strong, high-performing project teams.
What Is Offered
  • Total Autonomy: Direct decision-making power. Run projects with the trust and backing of executive leadership, free from heavy-handed corporate constraints.
  • Accelerated Growth Prospects: Because of continuous expansion and a massive backlog of regional work, career progression paths are wide open. High performers have a direct track into senior management and operational leadership roles.
  • Robust Compensation Package: Generous base salary commensurate with experience, lucrative performance-based bonuses
  • Entrepreneurial Culture: Join a winning team where individual impact is recognized, valued, and directly rewarded.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of Multifamily construction experience, with a proven track record managing ground-up or mid-rise multifamily projects as a Project Manager.
  • Strong command of project management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, MS Project).
  • Comprehensive understanding of local Charlotte subcontractor markets, zoning, and building codes is a strong advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred (equivalent field experience will also be considered).
